MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Ostmann Elementary School is to collaborate to ensure the following is present for all stakeholders:
1. Decisions are made based upon what is best for our students;
2. Expectations are held high in terms of learning, behavior, and growth for students, staff, and parents;
3. Student growth and progress are consistently monitored and instructional plans and techniques are constantly being revised and modified to meet individual student needs;
4. Academics, creativity and physical fitness can coexist, thereby providing students with a quality educational foundation;
5. The dignity of individuals is held paramount by making it safe to take a risk, safe to be wrong, safe to be different, safe to disagree, and safe to make a mistake.
VISION STATEMENT
Ostmann Elementary School is committed to becoming a school environment where the responsibility for high expectations in learning is shared between our staff, our students and our community. Our school will work to understand and implement the best teaching practices that employ innovative and engaging teaching strategies. Student engagement will be enhanced through staff modeling of positive and productive relationships that honor diversity and foster a climate of safety, respect, pride and a sense of community. As a result, our students will be empowered to achieve success academically, become life-long learners and become productive citizens in the global community.

We will have high, clear, consistent expectations and consequences, which will promote success,
We will model productive citizenship by displaying personal responsibility and challenge students to do the same,
We will challenge students to be active participants in their own educational process. Through collaboration and the use of data and best practices we will provide a variety of opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery, and
We will promote parental involvement by providing diverse opportunities where students connect school skills to life skills.
